1. Up-gradation of existing 155 MPLS VPN line to 300 MBPS MPLS VPN connectivity of M/s RCIL has been done for Kanchrapara Workshop.
2. Face recognized Biometric Attendance system has been implemented at Kanchrapara Workshop covering all shops. 61 nos. Biometric devices have been installed at entire workshop and connected to a centralised server. Attendance reports are being generated through server and through three clients that are installed at the three main Time offices.
3. Implementation of Workshop Accounting Management System (WAMS) at Kanchrapara Workshop. Out of 3 sub modules, two sub modules of WAMS i.e WAMS-WGR & WAMS-WMS have been implemented successfully. WAMS-COSTING module is under process of implementation.
4. Procurement of 300 nos. CCTV cameras and 11 nos. LED displays have been made for surveillance and monitoring of various locations of Kanchrapara workshop including HLR store, Hospital and Officer Rest House.
5. Survey of new project for Micro tunnelling and underground cabling by RCIL/Kolkata at ORH/KPA, Railway Hospital/KPA, MDSTC&MDWTC/KPA and Carriage complex/KPA has been done to strengthen and establish an uninterrupted & less maintenance Network connectivity of 300 MBPS from Telephone exchange under Loco complex/KPA.
6. Procurement of Visitors Management system has been done and supplied one each at Gate no.3 (Carriage complex) and Gate no.18 (Loco Complex) followed by installation and commissioning tosimplify visitor registration.
7. Procurement of 144 nos. 512 GB SSD and 140 nos. 256 GB SSD has been done & sent to respective user end to increase the efficiency of existing PCs under different BOs of Kanchrapara Workshop.
8. High Resolution Wi-Fi enabled Projector has been installed mounted on ceiling at conference room.
9. Sanction of proposal for “System improvement and modification of different offices by providing PCs and other peripherals of Kanchrapara Workshop” under PH-17 (Computerization) DRF in IRPSM portal at a cost of Rs.84 lakhs. Detailed estimate has been vetted by accounts sanction by competent authority and NSRs are under process of procurement.
